and completely baby-led.
I’m Stef from Stefanie Plum Photography, a newborn and family photographer. My cozy home studio in Logan is designed with new mums in mind, so you can relax while I take care of everything from posing and settling to wraps, props and styling. No pressure, no rushing, just timeless images of your baby exactly as they are right now.

How newborn sessions work
1. Book your session
Most families book during pregnancy to secure a spot in my calendar. A $100 booking fee is required to lock in your session.
2. Flexible scheduling around baby
Once your baby arrives, we’ll choose the perfect session date — usually within the first 2–3 weeks, but flexibility is always built in.
3. Relaxed studio session
Sessions are unhurried and baby-led, allowing time for feeds, cuddles and settling. I provide all wraps, outfits and props. During your session, we’ll chat through the image collections and you can choose what suits your family best. Payment is finalised on the day, once you’re comfortable with your selection.
4. Choose your images
You’ll receive a beautiful online gallery where you can select your favourite images based on your chosen package.
5. Enjoy your memories
Your final edited images will be delivered digitally, ready to print, share and treasure forever.

Frequently Asked Questions
When is the best time to book my newborn session?
Ideally during your second or third trimester. This allows me to tentatively reserve space in my calendar around your due date. Once your baby arrives, we’ll lock in the session date.
What age is best for newborn photos?
Newborn sessions are best held within the first 2–3 weeks of life, when babies are sleepier and more flexible. That said, beautiful images can still be captured outside this window, every baby is different.
What if my baby won’t settle?
This is completely normal and never a problem. Sessions are baby-led, with plenty of time for feeds, cuddles and soothing. I’ve been photographing newborns for over 13 years and follow your baby’s lead the entire time.
Do I need to bring anything?
Just your baby, nappies and feeds. I provide wraps, outfits, headbands and props. I’ll also guide you beforehand on what to wear if parents or siblings are included.
How long does a newborn session take?
Sessions usually last between 2–3 hours, allowing time for feeding, settling and breaks, there’s absolutely no rushing.
Can parents and siblings be included?
Yes, absolutely. Parents and siblings are always welcome to be included in your newborn session.
What if my baby arrives early or late?
That’s completely fine. Your session date is always flexible around your baby’s arrival.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! Afterpay is available. Please get in touch if you’d like to use this payment method.
