That first year with your baby is such a whirlwind. The days are long, the nights are even longer, and before you know it your tiny newborn has grown into a curious, giggly one-year-old.
As a Logan family photographer, I’ve been lucky enough to capture so many little ones through their first milestones. What I’ve learned is this: every stage tells a different story and every stage is worth remembering.
The newborn stage
Those early days are a blur of feeding, cuddles, and soaking in every tiny detail. Newborn photos capture your baby’s squishiness, their tiny fingers and toes, and those sleepy little expressions that pass all too quickly.
Three months
By now your baby is awake more, making eye contact, and starting to smile. This is such a sweet stage for photos because you get to see their little personality shining through for the first time.
Six months
Around six months babies are sitting up, grabbing toys, and giggling at everything. Their curiosity is exploding and it’s such a fun time to capture those cheeky grins and wide-eyed wonder.
Twelve months
And then suddenly, they’re one. Some are crawling, some are walking, all of them are busy exploring. A cake smash or simple one-year milestone session is the perfect way to celebrate how far they (and you!) have come.
